Cottonwood was a music group comprised of Kenn Amdahl, Barbara Henry and Bill Wilton in the 1990's and early 2000's in Denver. On our first CD, Voted most Poplar, Kc Dunn (pictured above), of KcD Music Studio played percussion. On Floating, John Galm played percussion. A number of other Real Musicians also joined us, creating the illusion of competence.

Cottonwood played a wide range of acoustic music with lots of harmony, a few of Kenn's original songs, some old standards, some flat out folk, some humor, and some borderline weird stuff. It released two CD's, "Voted Most Poplar" and "Floating." The group was popular in Colorado. Its music was played on over 100 radio stations around the world and developed fans clustered around these wise and discriminating stations. Two of its songs were included on "best acoustic music of the year" samplers. We credit our song, "The Neo Nazi Samba" with putting those pale and misguided folks out of business. Now you may hear our songs on cool internet stations like www.pandora.com, to which Kenn has become addicted.

When the group split up, we divided the remaining CD's three ways. We'll still sell them to you for fifteen bucks a pop, plus two bucks shipping, one dollar shipping for each additional CD. To buy from Kenn's stash, use the handy dandy order form. To be fair, since this site is Kenn's, and you may want to buy your CD from one of the other two, in that case email Kenn and he'll forward your email to either Barb or Bill.

We'll build a more respectable page for Cottonwood and Kenn's other music, as well as some of his many musical buddies. For now, we just wanted some basic information online. We own the domain geezerfolk.com, but have been unable to make it work much for the last few years. Now, armed with a new computer, who knows?

And thank you to the many people who listened to our music, came to our gigs, bought our CD's, requested us on your radio stations and bailed us out of jail. No wait, that was a different folk group
